ES10 probably does as well, but I can't look at the back of it right now.

Are you sure about RGB component ? mine (ES35) has YUV, that's because the component output was used for plasma/lcd flatscreens, a CRT uses RGB
yes , always SD, because it's PAL , 16:9 was made by making it anamorph or letterbox, because it must be "fitted" :)

To clarify, the wires = red, green, blue.
Not "RGB" colorspace. You are correct, video is YUV colorspace.

I guess you should call it YUV component, and not by the cable colors, when someone talks about RGB i think about the RGB of the SCART connection, which was/is a better way to connect a DVD player to a CRT tv i remember...
it's a bit of a shame, that my JVC HR-S8960 has no component connections, like my "Panny" has....
would be nice to hack that :) but i notice a cometh effect on the JVC one, i guess there's no perfect VCR/DVR at all exept maybe a Professional VHS deck :(

Yes, ES10 has also component yuv output, what i just discovered is, in progressive mode, (component video out) MacroVision is disabled for my model ES35, but not all pre-recorded vhs duplicates have MacroVision protection, when interlaced is switched on, the upper part of the screen changes from dark to light, which isn't even that bad, i guess over composite it will be worse, this i did not yet try with a MacroVision "protected" vhs tape.

SuperS, or anyone..

Was wondering if you could please share the list of codes for individual buttons of the original es15 remote? I've been searching the net with no luck

thanks

I believe those code's only have the main functions in a programmable remote, you do need to get hold of the specific model type remote, allmighty LordSmurf will know this one for sure :)
You do not state which programmable remote you have, that should also make a difference.

Buy the original remote for $25 or less.
Remotes are one of the few things off eBay that are almost always functional as intended.

Gear like this will never work with universals, not even fancy ones.

Yes, I've read this statement already and it is for sure valid.

However OP states they have codes for each button and this would be useful info to make available regardless.

I have the general remote code for the recorder which is 121

I am also not interested in accessing every last function, only the few I need, so if I am able to do that without buying a $25 remote, then that works for me.
