Toshiba (DRW2) DVD Recorder * Good or Bad Recorder

Is toshiba a good dvd recorder? I read that it has a TBC built in.

It's not really a TBC by strict definition. The term "TBC" is abused by marketers. But the Toshiba has some decent filters. I would only go for one of the XS series machines. The DRW2 is pretty old, isn't it? Those old ones had serious IRE issues.

I think its been out since March. What do you mean by IRE. I was thinking in getting the Toshiba 120 but I read that it freezes alot

Black level is IRE. In layman's terms, bad IRE means the color is washed, the video is too bright, and black are muddy gray. I like Toshiba players, but I prefer JVC recorders.
