Audigy 2 ZS HELP!!!
 

Well,

I was able to get a free Audigy 2zs sound card. I installed it and when i capture the sound sounds extremely noisy and distorted

I installed correctly and installed the drivers. It sounds great but when i capture it sounds like crap. Here is a test cap with the new card. With my onboard sound it was totally fine. Any suggestions???

The audio volume is too high. That's all.

Be sure the mic DB boost is off (known to affect other things), and that the ATI MMC and Windows audio volumes and properties are set correctly.

Also be sure everything is wired correctly.

the dbboost was the culprit all along. Seems unnecessary.

I would be sure it's not on a MIC channel. The preferred input style is AUX or LINE-IN for audio input.
