I put that article in quotes. When you take content from another site, it's also good manners to put it quotes, as well as link back to the source. If you could do that, it'd be swell.

I've read about VidFIRE before -- impressive stuff.

The stuff they did with those old betamax recording is pretty cool....

Just did a massive project...7 XP disks of video...

I don't really watch the video when it records...But I see what the picture looks like and maybe watch a few minutes of it.

I than play it back before I complete the disk. To see if I can see a difference in the recordings.....VHS & DVD

Sometimes I will load them up in the other DVD players and play them...

The MV5 doesn't have HDMI.....

To my TV currently have 3 DVD's players hooked up and 4 VCR's hooked up + a Cable box....

1 is S-Video (MV5)
the other two are HDMI....

What I just did was played back source disk 1 and than matched up to burn disk 1, and looked at the picture in detail....

Source disk 1 = No Marco Blocks
Burn disk 1 = Marco Blocks

Source disk 1 to 7, the quality of the picture is just about Broadcast level or better...That is how it looks...

Need to do more tests to be able to give a better reply....

Currently working on 9 different projects at once.....

Right now I can get the stuff to the PC in good quality do the edits and than I am stuck.....

It sounds to me like you've isolated Movie Edit as the culprit.
Exchange for Womble for some testing.
