How to edit captured video with Adobe Premiere?
5 Attachment(s)
I have captured a few of the tapes with Virtual Dub on another PC of mine running Windows XP. I have copied the files to my main PC which I am wanting to edit them on. I also have Huffyuv installed on this PC and the videos play in VLC without issue.
I tried editing them in Premiere Pro first as I already had this installed and familiar, with the software, but it gave me an error. I then tried editing in Vegas as I had an install from years ago on my PC, this gave me a similar error. I finally tried Corel Video Studio on a trial as saw it recommended on here, this game me a similar error too. I'm not too fussed about which editor I use, the main thing I am looking to do is splitting up the captured tapes into events/clips, maybe make other small adjustments. I have attached screenshots of the errors and the codecs section of system information and the media info that VLC shows. It could be something simple, but I haven't been able to figure it out yet. |
You need the codec. What was the capture codec?
VirtualDub captures 32-bit with 32-bit codecs. New NLEs are all 64-bit. Not a problem, the 64-bit needs to be installed. But NOT to be confused with Huffyuv64 or HuffyuvMT. Install ffdshow, enable the FFHuffyuv, which should add x64. |
