Suggested video editor for MP4?
 

I'm working with MP4's. At the very least I will need to crop the file. I will need to split the videos into 2 or 3 videos and I will need to color correct specific sections of the video in different ways. (some parts have too much green some have too much red and some are just right)

What would a suggestion on which program to use?

I went through a lot of editors, most of them did not do everything that I wanted. I ended up with Divinchi Resolve, the free edition. It is spectacular. you can crop a video, color correct cut paste and render.

Practically all video editing software is crop/cut centric, and any mid-range option will offer permissible color correction.

I've heard good things about DV, I've yet to try it myself. It's refreshing to see freeware rivaling the professional status quo.
