Software to export audio from MPEG2, then re-import?

I'm looking for software to easily export audio from an MPEG2 video , so I can process the audio in PRO TOOLS , then import the processed audio back to the MPEG2 video .

I have Womble , but I don't think it can do this .

Thanks !

You need to demux (demultiplex) the audio from the video.

- TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 is my favorite demux tool.
- Batch Demux is a good freeware tool, but has some quirks.
- Avidemux is often good, but it can crash a lot.

As always Mr. Smurf thanks for the advice .

I bought Womble after reading one of your guides and its a great easy to use program . I'll try the free ones first and if I have problems I'll get TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 .

In mpeg2 the audio to Wave or MPEG 1 Layer 2 or AC3 is available.
Audio is processed but in Wave .... Audacity, Adobe Audition, Wavelab, Samplitude .....
So you can also open the mpeg2 in VDub and there spend directly in Wave.
Womble is a good tool, I have been around since the first version.
