Embedding adverts in AVI videos?

Hi all,

I am an events photographer that uses videos to showcase photos. I would like the end of the video to trigger the launching of my site so that people can purchase the photos.

Does anyone know how make an avi video launch a website?

Thanks

You can't.

Most video formats like MKV, MP4, AVI, etc, are not interactive. Those are read-only viewing.

What you'll need to do is create something like Youtube does (Flash video, HTML5 video), with comments over images for links. Or, better yet, just use Youtube for showcasing your work online to sell.

Keep in mind that no standalone-video will work, and probably never will.

What you'll require is something embedded in a webpage.

Or, again, better yet, just use Youtube for this. It'll be easier. (And I'm not the sort of person that suggests Youtube that often.)

Trivia: Once upon a time, when Adobe Encore was in version 1.0, they tried to make a "Flash DVD" of sorts. But it never took off. I never played around with that because I hated Flash long before it became stylish to hate Flash.
