JVC BR-S622DXU accepts tape, no buttons respond?

Hi, I have a JVC BR-S622DXU that is causing me problems. It powers on, and accepted a tape but no buttons respond when pressed. Play, rewind, forward, eject and all other buttons do not work. There’s no error code shown when powered on. Any suggestions why this unit isn’t working?

Probably the ribbon cable or bad PCB of the control pad, If you are not into repairing these things it is better to send it to someone, it won't be cheap though.
