Fix bounce jitter by ripping DVDs with passthrough?
Hello,
Can I fix the bounce jitter problem by ripping DVDs with a passthrough? My setup: JVC HR-S 7965 > JVC DR-M100 JVC HR-S 7960 > JVC DR-M10 I have copied my old cartoon VHS tapes to DVDs. I had the TBC on. Some DVD copies have the known jitter bounce problem caused by JVC TBC. So my question is, if I rip these DVD copies with the Panasonic DMR ES10/15 as a passthrough + Elgato USB capture card, will the problem of bounce be fixed? JVC DR-M100 > Panasonic DMR ES10 > Elgato USB capture card JVC DR-M10 > Panasonic DMR ES15 > Elgato USB capture card Thank you! |
No, errors are now baked in to those DVDs. Avisynth required to attempt restoration.
Re-capture one of the videos JVC VCR with TBC off > ES10/15 > JVC recorder Does the bounce/jitter disappear? Sometimes a JVC VCR can cause bounce/jitter due to the bad timing on the original tape. Other times, the VCR needs a tweak alignment to match a bad alignment on the source tapes. Which cartoons. As a toon collector, bad conversions saddens me. :( |
