For some reason, my version 6 install of this program stopped working. I get an error message. I'm having to contact OnOne about a solution. You're somewhat on your own, for the detailed settings -- I can't see it screen for screen.
What you're supposed to do next is open Photoshop, and then load the Genuine Fractals batch mode Attachment 802 You'll want to resize everything to 72dpi at 720x576 resolution. Save the images to a new folder. Save as PNG or Targa. Let that run for several hours, I'd imagine. When Genuine Fractals is done... You'll want to load the images in VirtualDub. All you have to do is load the first image of the sequence, and VirtualDub 1.9.7 is smart enough to know you're going to merge an image sequence into a new video clip. You'll need to set up the video completely, including the framerate. Attachment 803 Attachment 804 The video compression... (HuffYUV is my suggestion, or just used uncompressed) Attachment 805 and then export your video. I'll assume your video project is muted -- no audio -- as was the sample you had given me. What you do with the uncompressed/lossless AVI depends on your needs. It can be encoded to a DVD (high bitrate suggested), or an H.264 MP4 -- whatever you have to have. However, it should be noted that those are compressed video formats, so further image degradation may occur. Ideally, you want to keep the uncompressed version for your archives -- maybe even get the lipreader to work on this higher-grade file. Sorry for the length of time it took to reply to this -- hopefully you won't run into the same issues in Genuine Fractals 6 as I did. I need to try it on another system some time. |
Hi,
I have had limited success with the lip-reader and was wondering about the "forensic-type methods" you mentioned. Any chance of imparting one or more of these methods to me? |
Have you considered locating another lip-reader?
I would have to say that you'll probably have to use the same type of professionals that governments do (i.e., reading lips of terrorists in the background of videos). You see this type of thing on TV shows like NCIS and CSI, but it exists real-world, too -- without all the special effects and fake "enhancement" filters. That will set you back a few dollars, no doubt. For example: http://www.lipreadingtranslation.com...nscription.htm You could also contact a well-known forensic media specialist, and ask for his opinion on locating a good lipreader. For example, asking Larry Compton: http://media-geek.com/index.php?opti...d=1&Itemid=186 |
I wanted to share a pair of updates I received via email from 1Ross:
