VCRs for capturing, anything from Craigslist?
On Craigslist there's a few I can snatch up and test cassettes out on, see if they're capture worthy. I know that these aren't the ones on the recommended list as those are rare as all hell, but is there something here that sticks out or is significant, sort of good?

So...anything worthwhile on the list? Something better than the LITE-ON that's currently with me? Would I be better off buying and returning a VCR/DVD combo from Best Buy than using the LITE-ON or getting one of those off the list? |
Maybe the Sharp. But it's still not suggested. It's just plain old VHS VCR from Walmart/Best Buy type consumer retail.
None will cleanup the tape in any way. Combo decks are the worst choice of all. Read this: http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vide...ing-guide.html The LiteOn uses the LSI chip, so the DVD recorder half may be fine. But use an external quality VCR. |
