How to use AvsPmod text snippets?
 

AvsPmod has a feature called Snippets or Text Snippets. You can associate text with a tag. But I don't know what it's for. I took a section of a script and associated a tag name with it. I assumed whenever the tag was typed in my script and I hit return that the text string would show up--it didn't. I searched here and on Doom9. The only thing I found was the brief mention of Snippets being added in the release notes. Any ideas of what it's for?

To me, the bigger question is why you want to use it. What need do you have for it?

My only example at this point:

[Histogram On/Off=1]
Histogram(Select([<"Histogram", 0, 2, 1>] ,"classic", "levels", "color"))
[/Histogram On/Off]

This is a function I believe I will use in all scripts. I thought it would be nice to just enter a tag in the script and the function would show up. There could be other items in the future. I guess I need to create an avsi file instead and put it in the plugins folder.

So, what are text snippets for?
