Correct Video8 Hi8 transfer workflow?
 

Hello forum!

I have this workflow:

Video transfer: Sony CCD-TR913E > S-Video > Cypress CTB-100 > S-Video > ATI TV Wonder HD 600 USB
Audio transfer: Sony CCD-TR913E > RCA > ATI TV Wonder HD 600 USB

Then to a Windows XP Computer > VirtualDub 1.9.11 > .avi (HuffYUV)

Line TBC/DNR: Enabled.

Frame TBC: Enabled. PAL and default settings selected.

What do you think of this workflow, something to improve? I will have video/audio synchronization problems?

No audio/video asynch if VirtualDub will be properly configured.

Thanks lollo2! For the ATI TV Wonder HD 600 USB I used this timing settings attached to this reply.

With the previous transfers I haven't had any synchronization problems, but since the audio doesn't pass through the frame TBC I think that it can be desynchronized. I don't know if I'm wrong.

The integrated audio/video components of the card, together with a proper setting of the capture software will take care of it

Edit: i do not use VirtualDub, but many guides and posts in the forum deal with it ;)
