Geneva tape cleaner off the charts price!
 

I just witnessed a Geneva PF-740 VHS tape cleaner sell for nearly $750!
Of course I have one and use it with much success but I paid less than $200.
There must a lot of dirty moldy tapes waiting.

I'm still amazedon that the Houston VCR scammer suckered somebody into paying $2500 recently for a JVC SR-V101. WTF? He just flips VCRs, and mine are refurb'd for about half of that cost. I doubt the VCR sold even works.

It's "tape cleaning anxiety", No matter how many times we repeat video cassettes do not need to be cleaned unless they have mould or similar disaster, in that case, automatic tape cleaner is the wrong tool because it rips apart the tape.

I use mine for moldy tapes, maybe 50-60, and not once did I ruin a tape or fail get a decent capture.

You've been lucky or the cleaner has a low torque low speed spindles.

When I forego the electric wall plug and use C batteries the speed is lower and the torque lower, and it will sometimes come to a dead stop. I keep at it. The client is always notified of the danger and the alternative which is no capture, or send the tape away to someone else and a much higher price point. So far so good…
