Futurehosting or Hostdime - best for VPS hosting?
Torn between the two companies. What is the better of the two in regards to VPS services? It seems Host dime, with its variety in locations and multiple support options(ticket, phone and live chat vs sole ticket with Future hosting) but Future Hosting appears to have a few interesting perks on their services.
It's hard to find VPS related hosting reviews on Hostdime(most are shared/reseller) and hard to find reviews on Futurehosting period. |
Hostdime is not really known as a VPS host is why. It's a "me too" type of offer, while their main focus is shared and reseller hosting. You're not really going to find reviews on them as a result.
Futurehosting, on the other hand, is a decade-old VPS/dedicated hosting brand that's very respected in the industry. It's what you'd refer to as a "premium host". Not necessarily because of price, but because of the quality of their support, network, and hardware. We'd used them in the past for specific projects. They're right up their with LiquidWeb or EuroVPS. The only reason we no longer use Futurehosting is because the VPS are Virtuozzo -- the old 2000s style of virtualization (along with OpenVZ). It's not modern. Xen, KVM and VMware is the modern method of a VM. These days, we simply prefer (and sometimes need, in the case of Windows) the newer VM methods. WiredTree, Knownhost and Futurehosting are some of the best Virtuozzo based hosts you'll find. Are you looking for managed or unmanaged VPS? |
