VIDEO_TS folder was not properly ripped?

lordsmurf:

Regarding your reply to my post in the forums, I have a VIDEO_TS folder that appears to have all the proper files complete, but was perhaps not properly ripped. When I try to "play" the files it goes straight to the main feature and bypasses the menu. As this DVD has a lot of extras I would like to restore its menu and navigation functionality.

Any assistance you could provide would be appreciated.

From the sound of it, it was ripped with a program that intentionally remove unwanted "extras" (FBI warnings, previews, etc), and jumps straight to a menu or the main feature. When the disc is rewritten like this, it can be impossible to put it back to a pre-ripped functionality.

However, it may be as simple as pressing "menu" when the main feature starts, and it jumps back to the menu.
