Sony SVO-5800 tape is stuck?

Help! I'm getting an "er 09", and can't eject the tape. Anyone know what i can do?

Look for the service manual, I'm pretty sure there is a copy right in this forum.

Thanks, What's my next step....?

Thank you. I found the instructions to manually remove the tape which i did, but the error code still shows.

Attached is the image with the error info. I'm getting the sub-code 821, but i see no explanation of "possible failure" (unless the possibilities are the same as the ones given for sub-code 221?) or any advice later on in the manual as to how to fix it.

Does this mean i need to give it in to service (where??)? Is it a goner?

It indicates a mechanical failure in the threading sequence, It could be a dirty mode switch or broken cam gear, If you have no clue about what I said that means it's a goner.

I see... Are there no people who repair these things?
