No. This is just a low-end consumer "combo unit" (DVD player/recorder + VHS player/recorder). Combo units were not made for dubbing tapes to discs, regardless of what the documentation may state. And then consumer equipment is low cost. A true professional S-VHS deck with a TBC, merged with a DVD recorder, costs substantially more (more than double the price), and were to my knowledge only manufactured by JVC around 2006.

I don't really know. I'd have to refer you to the manual. If it won't work, then probably not. There's really no such thing as "hacking" DVD equipment. Generally speaking, you're only unlocking features that already exist ut were hidden by the manufacturer (sometimes on purpose, sometimes by accident). It would be more appropriate to call them "unlocked features" or "hidden features" most times.

I'd have to see an image. This generally points to an a problem with hardware wire conversions (SCART to s-video, composite to s-video, etc). Note that not all sources work well with all hardware. The pattern effect may be dot crawl. Always try all available connections, and switch wires. Sometimes connections or wires can be bad, too.

If you need anything else, reply to this post (not via PM). Thanks. :thumb:
