Exactly. "LIGHTNING UK" did stop dvddecrypter for ever... And released a *only* burn tool: imgburn

EDIT: that is why I was "hunting" ISO images creators :!:

I'm affraid that Phil means something like "I have an ISO made with software A and want to burn it with ImgBurn but it seems that the software doesn't have that capability".
I don't think he means "I want to copy the files from my DVD to my HD and make an ISO image on the fly".
And that's why I answered that I do burn ISOs with ImgBurn, ISOs that I make with ImgTool.
Cheers

No, he means the ISO read mode available in Decrypter. That'll create an iso image of the disc.

rds_correia 12-28-2005 02:20 PM

But why would he ask that if he knows, because he was the one who advertised it, that ImgBurn is DVDDecrypters' burning engine only  .
I'm quite sure he is plenty aware that ImgBurn can't rip or decrypt otherwise it would still be againt the law and there was Lightning UK! in trouble again.
I don't know, but it doesn't seem to make much sense to me...

Unfortunally that is what I was asking for ;)
I found idiot to have to use DVDDecrypter to read my disc and after use Imgburn to burn it.
Reading a disc and making an ISO has nothing to do with the "decrypting" part of DVDDecrypter. It was usable for any DVD or even CD. And actually the DVD I wanted to copy was not protected.

I see...
This post from Phil http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=121528#121528 lead me to think that he knew that ImgBurn would *only* burn (when compared with DVDDecrypter).
So, my apologies to all other users in this thread .
Because in fact I'm quite stuburn when I believe I'm right .
And yet, once again I was wrong.
Cheers

Again this is not the problem ! I don't have any problem to create my ISO ! I find idiot to use an other programm (whatever you want) to create the ISO when what you want is just to copy a disc. Imgburn should have this feature included in the software.

Oh yes. I forgot to explain my view. I was only "collecting" a list of freewares for the people on forum :D For creating DvD-Video and DvD-Data (that I was aiming for!). Now it is pretty enough 8) We have tons of iso creators for everyone that enters this thread, download IMGBURN and wants to use it for burning own created iso´s. 8)

best regards.
