Dozens of virus block antivirii. The only way to prevent that is to use a DOS antivirus.

But be carefull about other thing : you can have two alert on a single file. When avg repared 11, it perharps repared the 13 alerts you previously had.

Scroll down to the bottom of the list. There's a link to the free MS-DOS version and two links for the virus definition updates. I believe the install package contains instructions on how to create a bootable virus scanner, it will probably span over two floppys.

normal. F_Prot will only work on FAT file systems and not NTFS file

This is old story. XP Boot CD comes from a NTFS driver that allows to read NTFS partition from safety console. And this kind of drivers can be foudn on the net for other versions.

So I repeat differently : since winXP there is a DOS driver that is loaded during boot in recover DOS console mode to acces NTFS partition under DOS environnement.

This driver can also be retrieved on the net to be added on a floppy used to boot without win XP CD. And I think a w2K version exists also (not sure).
