It is there, but I didn't know it was not update since 2003 :(

OK, I got it but since it hasn't been updated, don't you think that most likely it won't detect the viruses?

Do you have any other idea?

Dozens of virus block antivirii. The only way to prevent that is to use a DOS antivirus.

Now, if you know other ones...

But be carefull about other thing : you can have two alert on a single file. When avg repared 11, it perharps repared the 13 alerts you previously had.

Scroll down to the bottom of the list. There's a link to the free MS-DOS version and two links for the virus definition updates. I believe the install package contains instructions on how to create a bootable virus scanner, it will probably span over two floppys.

Now, I know that the viruses are still there because it won't let us go into the internet. We contacted his ISP and they told us that everything was running right in their side so it should definitely be a virus or a worm.
It's possible that your winsock file has been damaged and needs to be
recreated. When you say it won't let you go into the internet, what
is happening. I removed a worm from my computer and had the same
symptoms as you. Only after recreating the winsock was everything
normal. F_Prot will only work on FAT file systems and not NTFS file
systems. 8)

This is old story. XP Boot CD comes from a NTFS driver that allows to read NTFS partition from safety console. And this kind of drivers can be foudn on the net for other versions.

I was referring to DOS F_Prot scanning NTFS. For Win 2K Pro with NTFS,
it doesn't work.

So I repeat differently : since winXP there is a DOS driver that is loaded during boot in recover DOS console mode to acces NTFS partition under DOS environnement.

This driver can also be retrieved on the net to be added on a floppy used to boot without win XP CD. And I think a w2K version exists also (not sure).
