KVCD audio was always off sync!

im sure this hasnt happened to only me so im posting my success story here, i have been feverishly trying to backup my wifes copy of sweet home alabama on dvd without success for a long time, the audio was always off sync no matter what i tried, if anyone has the same problem the solution is easy encode the sound file to mp2 and add a 2000 ms delay using something like besweet or headac3e them multiplex with tmpgenc , simple no? just thought id share some words of wisdom :D this problem has perplexed me for weeks

You should have asked for that before because it's an known (even if not completly explained) problem and we would have give you the solution easily

Note: the delay is never the same and can't be put "blindly". That is actually the only diffuculty : to find the correct delay to add.

English ? :o
I tell that the solution is easy to give, not that the solution we give is easy.
As told in the last sentence :
"That is actually the only diffuculty : to find the correct delay to add."

In my experience, whenever I have audio sync problems, no matter what source, I always put it through Mainconcept Encoder...........it never lets me down, I have tried so many encoders but Mainconcept wins on this one.

1/ the delay probem (the one exposed here) can't be solved by any encoder.
2/ the "sliding" sync problem can be solved by any encoder that ancodes audio and video at the same time
3/ MC outputs are amongs the worst ones (quality wise).

Next time try directly with tmpgenc. It fails only on VFS codec like RV9/10.
