Kwag, was the audio of the samples on the compatibility test cdr @ 44.1khz or 48khz? Also, what bitrate was the audio....128kbps or 112kbps?...or perhaps something else, like (gulp!) standard 224?

Just trying to narrow down possible reasons/fixes for some of the samples not playing correctly on my player. Thanks.

hey kwag, I burned the image with Nero to a CDRW. WinDVD reads, plays menu and clips. But when I pop the cdrw in my Samsung s221 (which has a sticker that says: supports CD-R/RW) it wont load the disc.

Oh and I downloaded a sample SVCD image from VCDHelp.com and burned it to the same CDRW and my DVD player couldnt load the disc. But then I created a small mpeg2 clip and burned it with Nero using the SVCD option. My DVD played it normally and even a little SVCD icon showed up in the DVD.

So why does my player have problems playing nero images and cue/bins?

Can you try to burn the kvcd-compat-v2.bin image instead of the nero image :?:

Both didnt work :( Is there a way to extract the clips from the images so that I burn them to the CDRW using the SVCD option?

To get "files" from iso files ( or .bin, .nrg , etc. ) I use ISOBUSTER, this little program can open a .iso image like windows can open a directory.

You can get the isobuster in www.downloads.com , just put the name of the program in the windows section and then you can get the archives you want from the image.
