KVCD: mpeg came out way too big?

You said you got K19 onto 1 cd with the kvcdx3 template. I tried it with The Fog and the file size still came out way to big.

I sure did, about three times , but I used manual file prediction :buzzmile:
Check the "sticky" on the file prediction forum.

I did the manual file size prediction. I subtracted 75(audio size) from 800. That's 725. Then I did 168564/93/24= 74.72. Then I did 725/74.72=9.70
When i encode with sampler using the kvcdx3 template, it comes out way too large

Perfect! So your target sample must be 9.7MB. If it came out too large, just divide 9.70/YourSampleSize * YourCurrentCQValue
That will get you a new CQ or CQ_VBR value ( Whichever you're using :D )
Encode again. After 3 or 4 times, you should have a sample of about ~1% close to the predicted size ( 9.7MB ) and then encode your movie
