The higher you go with MIN, the more bits you're loosing on low action/low lit scenes :D
You use the minimum MIN that your standalone can handle. No more, no less

HI kwag

nice to hear from you again :D

So is there like any inbetween value for min bitrate? I have heard you mention before you wouldn't go higher than 400 min due to getting more black bits. :?

Thanks. :)

I always though, the higher the min bit rate, the higher the overall quality...

Is it best to leave the min 300 max 2500 setting in mpeg-2?

That's what I always use. All my players play flawlessly with that range.

I've set the minimum at 150 since my player supports that low values. I don't know if it does any good, but it's there anyway

On dark scenes, that will save you a lot of space
