DVD2SVCD: DVD to KSVCD problems

OK,

I invested more than a week to figure this out. I can make SVCD's with Smartripper and DVDx. Even the guide http://www.kvcd.net/guides/kguide/kvcdguide.htm is pretty clear. However It still doesn't do what I want -> Make a (K)SVCD to fit one single 80min. CD-R.

The mentioned guide doesn't go into the subtitles and is focused on VCD (not KSVCD) if I'm correct. Also tried DVD2SVCD but there I cannot use the KVSCD (TMPG) templates.

I think I'm almost there, but after one week of study, reading faqs/guides/forumposts I'm almost ready to give up.

Who can give me the last "push" in the right direction........? :-).

This guide works fine for KSVCD too, just load the KSVCD template into TMPGEnc instead.

If you want to fit it on one CD, try Rendalunit's Moviestacker and ToK Guide. :)

Thanks PyRoMaNiA,

I'll look into this guide later and let you know (one of the few guides I didn't read...:-)).

Can you help me on the subtitle part or don't you copy a lot of "french art" movies :-)....

Thanks Jorel,

sorry about the double postings.............

Your link was quite interesting. I will go and experiment with VobSub (lots of stuff to figure out still so I read in your link.)

I wish DVD2SVCD would work with KVCD templates ! :-( so you have an all in one program to do the job.........

http://www.kvcd.net
