I've seen several MVCD .mpg Files on KazaaLite now, whereas I have hardly ever seen a KVCD File. Alas the spread of MVCD is quicker than KVCD's - most German folks make MVCDs (they can't read the KVCD Forum because it's english I guess :roll: ) and their DSL flatrates enable them to spread this MVCD stuff.
Additionally KVCD users seem to be too clever to share their files on Kazaa :lol:
What I'm trying to say is that those who can live with MVCD quality and a guilty conscience shall do so - those who want KVCD(DVD) quality shall do their KVCD(DVD)s themselves and BE HAPPY! Copies for private use are still allowed in many countries on our planet earth, whereas Filesharing is generally forbidden (with some exceptions - Switzerland?).

MVCD users may suffer a guilty conscience - KVCD users keep it real!

Well first ...

The soultion is to respect the work of people who spend the time by writing Guides like avalon. And if there are Links or Lines which refer to other Guides in the www it should be mentioned where they are from!
In German we say "Ehre wem Ehre gebürt".

In my case I get the best results by using techniques and stuff from both worlds including some modifications by myself. So I receive a very good Quality. It depends on the data within the movie or if it will be burned as a DVD-R or a CD-R.

I see it like this: We are all "ONE-CD-MOVIE"-Users or creaters. So use the template you like and use the technique you prefer. I spended weeks to compare, to get best compression and to get the knowledge to figure out wich kind of process will give me the much easiest way to work.
So we all want to drive the "Car" ... someones prefer gas. from BP and the others from Exxon.

And thats what I like .. comparing... testing ... modyfying ... learning by doing ... and so on. Thats the way we understand this stuff und get the knowledge we have.

PS: I think I already enjoyed in this Forum (ACP Topic) prophanic words. And I see them here in this thread again "Quote= Wichser", so lets stay cool! ;-)

:idea:

maybe a good idea:
why programs like CQMatic,MovieStacker,ToK,Sweethead...
everything don't have the "from kvcd forum" built
in the top of the programs?
when someone open ...for example CQMatic,
will be read:

CQMatic - from kvcd forum - copyright Softronex...

cool or lame in the idea :?:

The problem is, that people come here to KVCD.Net and learn to drive a legally bought car with original parts. But others go to MVCD, and learn (half ass!), and drive away with a stolen car :mrgreen:
An MVCD car with stolen KVCD parts, and that pisses me, and many others :twisted:

vmesquita 08-20-2003 06:01 PM

you are really asking who is stealing from who?

Jim 08-20-2003 06:04 PM

@vmesquita

I post my guide on the 09.07.2003 (german writing..)

and you post your guide on the 18.07.2003 (german writing)

links above...

Dialhot 08-20-2003 06:06 PM

Jim, as long MVCD will be an illegal rip off KVCD, you can post whatever you want for this crap, you will steal other one ideas.
I guess you template (or Avalon's ones, I don't care) use Q-Notch Matrix ? Don't they ?

This matrix is copyrighted from Softronex. So...

Jim 08-20-2003 06:08 PM

nope the 2.5 template dont no longer use the notch matrix..
it is not my problem if mole steal the kvcd idea or not to make his own templates i only write the guide and make the templates

If you can read a little english, you can see that German version wasn't made by vmesquita but by new-bee.

Vmesquita told you he CAN'T read german. So he can't write it, and he can't stole """your""" ideas !

Ok for this part, I didn't know.

Avalon 08-20-2003 06:15 PM

Then you make guides on a site knowing Mole's background :?:
And you make guides for a site who follows unprofessional practices :?:
Are you are aware of what mole and MVCD has been doing since the start :?:
Doesn't that "ring a bell" :!: :!: :!: :!:

Dialhot 08-20-2003 06:17 PM

Kwag allow everyone to use his work as soon as you tell from where the ideas are ! That's what Mole ""forgot"" to do.

Jim 08-20-2003 06:19 PM

@Dialhot

vmesquita posted the original guide on 18.07.2003 german writing

german guide was posted on 03.09.2003

so it doesn't matter...

He can you a translator or whatever
if he cant --> idiot

vmesquita 08-20-2003 06:19 PM

Jim,

As I said, I never knew about MoleVCD until kwag told me it existed and how it started. And it was long after the first version of my guide. If you read my post from the beggining, you'll see that I started proposing an idea to later write a guide, which I wrote from scratch. My guide started focusing DivX to KDVD conversions only (read the changelog), simply because it was what I was trying to do at the time. Later I added support to other stuff in new versions. Read the thread of the guide and you'll see how it growed, since in the beggining it was simply a registry template (what I did from the scratch) and 10 steps to use with prediction. I don't know what you mean by your last post, but even being here for little time I got respect by showing knowledge and trying to help the others, and most developments in my guide were to help people to do stuff that i don't even do, like KSVCD and using it with TmpgEnc.

And as I said, I can't read german, otherwise I wouldn't ask others to translate my guide to german, I would do myself like I did the Brazilian Portuguese version.
