Actually Jorel, a clip IS a video. A short one. A clip is shorter than a "short movie" (you know, this is how the documentary are called).
But "clip" isn't related to music video only !

In sum : in theaters you have movie, on the tv you have short movies and on MTV you have clip :-)

In avisynth documentation, and in all documentation related to a video editing tool like avisynth, you have to use the word "clip" insteed of "video" because "video" is already used to designed... the video stream of a clip !
I'm not sure you will understand that last line :-D
