(sorry the the tone but you asked for an answer...)

my point is your answer was stupid and sarcastic.
Any body can put a shit script then encode for 24 hrs.
It was sarcastic and over the line and you had no good reason to answer that way.
Perhaps you were in a bad mood and said to yourself "Let me attack this guy"
Well that is unnacceptable were I am from.
You could offer something constructive but your chose to condesend -I don't appreciate that.
And if this wasn't such a great board many nice and talented people I would have a some very choice words for you, but I will leave it at this.

Trust me if you want but some people can't do ANY script that encode. Goodor bad... They just have errors, errors, errors... That's normal and that's surely not a shame for them.

For sure it was. As was your post "Were is your answer smart guy?".
How was I supposed to receive that ?

As I told : you asked for a answer, you receive an answer ! Not happy with that ? Just don't ask the next time !

I am still free to answer when I want to answer no ?

Quote:

I have reasons that you don't know, that's not the same. The same reasons I had to NOT having answered to the previous post.

Not at all. Always the same mood, anytime.

I can live with this. As I told just above : I'm free to answer when I want to; I'll add : I'm free to answer WHAT I want to !

That's a big diff between you and me : I use to post A LOT, to help people A LOT, to answer A LOT, to spent A LOT of my time here just for that, but I NEVER use "some very choice words" for anyone. That's what "talented people" do, don't they ?

I was referring to your first answer, sarcastic, silly and unconstructive.
You can try to justify it to yourself by" hey I post a lot and help alot" but ocassaionally I will be a useless sarcastic ass.
Well if that is yourr game, so be it.
Yes you help a lot, talented people dont post useless sarcastic posts.

rds_correia 04-14-2004 07:29 PM

Come on guys.
You're not being very reasonable to the rest of the board.
Should keep it to yourselves.
There is such a thing as PM feature on the forum. 8)
I'm only sorry that you're arguing about some nonsense I posted.
As I said we should all blame my PC's CPU and the rest of the zillions of software I have running at the same time.
Cheers

Hummm.... ? :screwy:

Let resume :
1/ there is a post
2/ I have nothing constructive to say, so I don't answer
3/ you asked : "where is your answer ?" with a VERY sarcastic tone
4/ I answer with the same tone
5/ you are ashamed and just respond "if you don't have anything constructive to tell, don't post !"

:banghead:

@rds
Don't worry pal, when it's time to go to PM, I go to PM. And now it's just time... to stop that's idiot joking story.

Reread the post. Carefully.
Your summation is incorrect.
Wrong Again smart guy.
Read my post to rds_correia, then you responded with your useless silly comment.
Perhaps you reading comprehension skills are suffering. But I posted here below to help you along.

Don't worry Jorel, I won't fight againt newcomers with 40 messages telling me how to post, what to post and when to post. I just leave the board. Definitively.

Well done man.

Bye.

Note for tickey: some peoples here think that the more you have filters in your script, the better is the result. So my post WAS constructive and not useless. But for sure, your youngth on this board didn't allow you to notice that. It's sad for all the community.

This post has gone terribly off-topic and is developing into a bit of a flame war. Come on guys let's just try to get along. :D

@ tickey

To be honest I think you have over reacted slightly here and im not trying to offend you. In response to this quote:

GREAT avatar :D

You said Quote:

and all that Phil (Dialhot) said was:

"Quality has NOTHING to do with the encoding time.

Which to be to me was Phil simply stating a fact that just because a script can take 24Hrs to encode doesnt necessarily mean that it will be of better quality of a script that takes 4 hours to encode.

Phil has helped me and countless other newbies and always showed great patients in answering my questions when I knew nothing about KVCD and KDVD (I still know next to nothing now really lol. :P :D).

Lets just forget about this pointless argument and be friends eh? :D

Takkies 04-15-2004 11:27 AM

Been away for a while....wow. What off Topic.

Did I get my answer. Because of all this those last 2 pages seems not even close to my question. Anyway, very funny you all

  I love it here

rds_correia 04-15-2004 03:38 PM

@Takkies
Hi. Just stick with us and you'll see how fun this can be.
Hope you didn't take any of my postings personally/seriously.
As I've said I was just teasing you about your very cool avatar.
If I did, please accept my apologies.

@Jorel & Inc.
It seems this is all my fault because I didn't explain myself in that specific sentese of my 1st post.
But believe me that everything I said is plain true.

@Tickey & Phil
Please stop posting addressing each other.
This is only making me feel bad because it's all because of that nonsense I wrote.
I swear I never had the intention of producing this "war of posts".
In the end Takkies is right (who ever she/he is): we haven't given her/him the help needed.
And that doesn't seem like us in the 1st place.
Please forget about all these posts.
Let's just help Takkies instead.
I'll try to take the 1st step forward here.
Cheers all

Hi Takkies,
It's me again
I'm going to take some aspects for granted like:
- Your PC is running WinXP/2000
- Your PC is a P4
- You are using latest TMPGEnc
- You are using Avisynth scripts and loading these into TMPGEnc templates written by Kwag

If all this is true (or at least most of it) than 6-8 hours could be okay.
But it is very subjective saying this without knowing every little step you did in order to encode, what PC you have, and how long was your source.
So could you give us some more info?
That way we could give a more accurate answer  .
Cheers

Takkies 04-16-2004 05:04 PM

It all went well now. I am seeing the results and it's cool on just one cd
Thanks for all. I'll keep on looking here to learn more
Thanks RDS

You might be right.
I may have overreacted but I still did not appreciate the nature of the first remark. To me, it insulted my Intelligence and I don't appreciate it.

However I should have left it alone. By not leaving it alone and posting were is your answere smart guy I guess I was looking to have it out.

That was my mistake and I apologize to you Phil 100% for that.

Furthermore it was never intention to have Phil leave the board. I could not forgive myself if I as a new member here had caused the departure of a seasoned expert.
If Phil is intent on leaving then let him stay and I will leave.

Or he can accapt my apology and we can forget all about it but that choice should be Phil's.

Hopefully he will post here his thoughts on the situation.

I also apologize to all members of this board for causing trouble.
That was not my intention. This board has been a great help to me and thousands of others and Phil is one big reason for that.
