Just try to load your source in avs with directshowsource() and tell me what happends.
Also be sure that your working color space is yv12 (if you play your avs script in mplayer2 or other player without problem, your color space is ok). Edited: Ohh, I think I get it. Once I saw this error with "MPEG2Dec3dg.dll". Just try 1.76. (but i don't know why your get an error in dct line) |

Do you mean use MPEG2Dec3dg.dll included in DVD2AVI 1,76?
Well it doesn't work :P DctFilter test version needs sizes multiples of 16x16 |
Please, give me time to reply!!! Forget MPEG2Dec3dg.dll.

hello again everyone,
alright i got a bunch of vob's which i extracted to my computer from a dvd. My question is can i create a fake VOB using DVD2AVI and just load it into MENCODEME or do i have to combine all the VOB's together to get one big VOB, if thats the case which program shuold i use? |

1 - Rip your DVD video in one big VOB, and one big ac3. Sometimes you need NTFS HD partition for this (VOBs bigger than 4GB). Then load your VOB in MencodeMe and encode. Finally you will get a m2v for to mux with your ac3 (or mp2 obtained from ac3). Or give both without mux to your authoring DVD software. 2 - Rip your DVD in several VOBs and one big ac3. With VOBs you can create a fake VOB with DVD2AVI and give it to MencodeMe through avisynth. Finally you will get a m2v for to mux with your ac3 (or mp2 obtained from ac3). Or give both without mux to your authoring DVD software. 3 - Rip your DVD in several VOBs and one big ac3. You can serve VOBs to MencodeMe separately, and later to join m2v's obtained. Finally you will get a m2v for to mux with your ac3 (or mp2 obtained from ac3). Or give both without mux to your authoring DVD software. 4 - Same previous but getting audio in several ac3's. Not recommended. -------------------------- Visit: Intermediate guide: MencodeMe/Win32 - Avisynth - MakeAvis by Prodater64. Visit: KVCD - MencodeMe - Auxiliar Task - KVCD Docking Gate by Prodater64. Hi pro,
haven't replied in the kvcd.net forum for quite a while. Just tried the new tmpgenc and kwag's great new cqmatic :). I was wondering how things are going on with mplayer I see the forum is still closed :( are there any new things improved like quality speed any good filter chains? |
Hi Koekies,
This forum, MencodeME will eventually be deleted, as it is no longer supported and has already been superceeded by NuEnc and other avcodec based encoders. I will now lock this forum and move it to the same place where ToK and acp stand. As for Mplayer/Mencoder, they are still very buggy, specially Mencoder which is also an avcodec based front end. -kwag |
