HARD ROCK ALL THE WAY!!! 8)

I have to say that I like a lot of genres of music.
In fact I believe that there are great music in ALL the genres.
I can like classic, romantic ballads, pop rock, classic rock, progressive rock, rumba, tango, samba, etc, etc... but there is one genre that I can't stand... that is (sorry Bchteam) Hip Hop (Rap). :x

But what I really like is HEAVY METAL!
Some of my favorite bands are: Helloween, Gamma Ray, Iron Maiden, AC/DC among others.
I also have to mention 2 progressive rock bands that I love: Marillion and Queen.

@Wolfi
Hey Wolfi! I think ABBA is one of the most known bands in the world!
I believe that Dancing Queen was in the best 10 music of the 20 century (I don't remember who did the research).
BTW, Nightwish <-- they are good! 8)

bigggt 05-09-2003 08:47 PM

I like todays rock and classic rock

My all time favorite group is AC/DC especially when Bon Scott was alive

Today a couple of my favorite bands are Staind,System of a Down,Tragically Hip.

rendalunit 05-09-2003 08:49 PM

I like a lot of different genres except country

I mostly like techno and industrial bands like KMFDM, Die Krupps, 16 Volt, Juno Reactor, Birmingham 6, Freaky Chakra but KMFDM is my all time favorite. I also like jazz fusion like Scott Henderson and Tribal Tech, Al Dimeola and Pat Metheny. I also like Vietnamese music; Nhu Quynh, Hoang Lan, Ha Vy, etc. (no I don't know the language, I just like the singing). I used to be into metal also; Muaddib, I've seen Iron Maiden live a few times back around '87 or '88, they were great!!

@ mauddib..

I knew it !!.. you avator screams Heavy Metal !! hehe..

I like some too.., but the last HM bar I went to, this girl was sitting on a guys lap (gay guy) and she handled my azz (full lift) I turned around and all I saw was the girl smiling hehe.. Well, it didn't dawn on me till later on, when I got home, that my left cheek was handled, but the girl was on the right side 8O as I was standing on line, I had plenty view of her.. and would have ben hard to miss her hand. She had covertely allowed the gay guy's hand to fondal my azz like a toy spunge 8O

Never again..

BTW, that was a "hell" of a history! 8O
But I think you should not discard the possibilty it was the smiling girl who handled your azz!
It's a much more "uplifting" thought.

vhelp 05-09-2003 11:01 PM

@ mauddib..

>> It's a much more "uplifting" thought.

well.., if it were "only" the chic.. she was quite!! ..would've ben something
to remember for a long time

I'm a student of the Guitar. I'm learning slowly how to play:
* Accoustic - (have two.. Epic and one by Yamaha)
* Electric - (MarkII) much more easier on the finger tips

Gadgets..
I bought this tiny amp w/ reverb and a few other emitates, but is ok for my
limited needs.
I also have another little gizmo (battery too) and sounds pretty good, though
I think I payed through the noise for it. like $79 bucks, but it sounds pretty
good. Of course, I have a much bigger amp, but I don't want to ROCK the
house hehe..

..you play ??

I don't know any real good licks just yet worth mentioning.. but some day,
I'll records some MP3's of what I can do maybe.. I hear Jorel's a veteran
in Guitar hehe..

Well, the last time I saw Iron Mainden live was some time ago...
It was in January, 2001 Rock in Rio. It was SOOOOO good that I remember it like yesterday.
Oh man, every thing was just great! The production, the lights, the sound, the stage, everything was perfect.
They played some all time-honored classics from back into Maiden's glorious past: Wrathchild, 2 Minutes to Midnight, The Troooooooperrrrrr, The Evil That Men Do, Sanctuary, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Iron Maiden, The Number of the Beast, Run to the Hills among other dozen more recent sounds. Bruce Dickinson's (and the band) performance was just spectacular!

Metal is my favorite genre... but they don't need to be metal! :D
As I said, I like a lot of genres. Good music is good music no matter the genre.
I downloaded this "nhuquynh metoi" song. Well, they sound like some kind of a "Chinese Newage"...
In fact I enjoy some newage of Enya and Loreena Mckennit.
Well, I can't tell you that I loved the song, but it was a nice song. Very relaxing. :D

I saw Iron Maiden when the were on the "Somewhere in time" tour and they had a giant robot on the stage- they definitely had the props and lights going- and of course they sounded good too.
