Reman, I wonder why your solution did not work for me. What versions of DVD2Avi and TmpGenc do you use?

I htink I tried your solution the first time you mentioned it to this board. I was willing to accept the filesize increase but the video always came out with lines around the moving objects on the screen, eg. people, cars, etc. Nothing I did would remove those lines and would make the quality worse.

They are as follows:

DVD2Avi 1.76 by LOLI.J modified by DVD2svcd 1.05 8O
TmpGenc 2.53

When you change the 23fps to 29fps did you uncheck the Inv. Tel option? NO 3:2 pulldwn. Source DVD rip, 3:2, 29fps. DVD2Avi audio was CONVERTED from 48k to 44k 128bit.

I use DVD2AVI 1.77.1 and TmpGenc 2.54.37.35 now although I did use your versions together exactly before. It didn't work then and I was hoping when I changed versions that I will luck out this time, I didn't.

Yeah, I tried your settings although I don't think I ever went down to 128 bits, I just want my audio to be at least 160. I don't think this is the reason though, is it?

Oh, I just saw that you got your DVD2Avi by DVD2Svcd, maybe that's the reason why. I may try this one, how do you modify it?

There are dozens on the net and I have no idea where I got this one. I have several others but that one is the one in TmpGenc folder. My audio problems where when I used 48k and or 23fps.

ONE MORE NOTE: I "upgraded" both of my APEX machines 1000/1500 to a new ROM via www.nerd-out.com. Maybe that is it????
