For anyone interested, here's the PRC-100 internals. Original size attached.

Can be powered by DC adapter - 12V, .25a, positive polarity (tested, not in the manual).

BE careful about eBay. I bought mine new. TGrantPhoto repairs old PA-100's. As long as your PRC-100 works, I'd leave things as-is.

We bought the DataVideo TBC-3000 from TGrant some months back. Very nice proc amp, and the TBC is clean.
It wasn't cheap, but it really was not expensive either. ($300-400 range)
