Power supply for Viltrox monitor?
4 Attachment(s)
Hey all,
I have a Viltrox monitor that needs a power supply. It is a DC-90 HD monitor, of which I have 2 of them, the PS I have works for both, so I have attached photos of the plug and monitor. I'm no good at determining the various symbols on the plug and what they mean, so... If someone could locate such a plug on Amazon (or wherever) link me, I would be eternally grateful. Thanks everyone. |
The item needs power within 8 volts to 18 volts. (Wow, wide range!)
With 2 amps minimum. Center-positive. Most items are center-positive. The C opens to + Standard 2.1/2.5 tip. The battery has even lower needs, weird. Just under 8 volts, and 5 watts is just under 1 amp. I would suggest you get a standard quality APD here, 12V 1A, center positive, both standard tips. Buy this unit, $8 shipped, from this seller: https://www.ebay.com/itm/201547508933 |
Just a guess but the extra power requirement for the AC adapter vs battery is to allow charging of the battery while the monitor is in use and battery attached???
Thus 12V/1 amp adapter will be adequate for powering monitor only but might you might want 1.5 - 2 amps if batteries are to be used/charged on the monitor. 5.5mm x 2.5mm plug or 5.5mm x 2.1mm plug unknown is resolved via the dongle included in LS's recommended purchase. My:2cents: BW |

Yep, that's probably it. |
