JVC TBC always stabilizes s-video output?

Hi, I want to thank you for posting the VHS player list. I知 sure it痴 helped
Many people.

I知 hoping you値l be willing to answer one simple question:

Assuming I buy a used machine with a TBC, such as the JVC HR-S7600, does that mean the TBC will always stabilizes the s-video output signal for capture, or will it only kick in when it detects the need?

I知 trying to capture old works via a Black magic intensity shuttle, so I知 hoping to know if it will work before I buy one.

Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

Best, Peter

The line TBC is either always on or always off.

You'd never want an auto-enable feature, as it'd be jarring. Seeing timing and chroma issues disappear is obvious, especially on the "button" models (TBC not enabled via menu).

Blackmagic cards are not suggested. Even with TBC, they have fits.
