710-USB no video sources, WinXP?

3 Attachment(s)
Hello!

Long time listener, first time caller. I was wondering if anyone has seen this issue with my current workflow:
Microsoft Windows XP Pro - Version 2002 SP3
Panasonic AG-1970 > Datavideo TBC-1000 > Pinnacle 710-USB Rev 1.0 > VirtualDub 1.9.11

The issue being that no matter what I seem to do I cannot get VirtualDub to acknowledge the video source from the 710-USB - composite or s-video.

I tested the 710-USB on another machine running Windows 10, following this thread and instructions provided by LS

http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vide...html#post64929

and everything works as expected - using Crossbar Thing workflow. So I am moderately confident that there are no issues with the 710-USB hardware wise as I was able to capture with no issues.

I am using the PCLEUSB2x32 driver provided by LS in the above mentioned thread and everything appears to be installed properly.

I am able to capture successfully with this machine (Windows XP) using an alternate capture device and this workflow:
Panasonic AG-1970 > Datavideo TBC-1000 > ATI TVWonder Capture > VirtualDub 1.9.11
But I would really prefer to use the 710-USB if at all possible.

Any help / assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thank You

I would check Device Manager and see if any devices (Pinnacle in under sound/video) have a yellow exclamation mark on them. If this is the case, it's a driver issue.

SCRATCH the above. I just saw your provided screenshot of Device Manager.

I had to use Crossbar Thing in XP to get the 710-USB to work.
