No sound from Pinnacle 510 USB?
 

I am getting no sound from my Pinnacle 510. I know it’s not the card because I just got it from LS and my Pinnacle 710 started doing the same thing before I bought this. It’s probably something simple I’m
Just not sure what it is.

VirtualDub audio preview enabled?

Yes preview is enabled? I did a test capture and got no audio also and when I did that capture I had capture audio selected. There’re no option to adjust audio or anything on my crossbar.

Think LS means audio preview when capturing, not having the audio be captured to begin with. It's suggested to disable audio preview.

I know I had this problem before, remember messing around with what capture source VirtualDub uses.. sadly I forget how I solved it.

The audio is working now. I'm not sure what happened there.

You may have one of these in your system.

I can get sound now out of my Pinnacle 510 but I have no control of the sound through software. I installed the 64 bit drivers from https://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vid...capturing.html When I tried to install PCLEUSB2x32 is says ##IDS_DIFX_X86##. I’m trying to install on a Windows 7 PC. It’s an install of a windows 7 home premium I got off the disc and I have no internet access on that computer.

While I was at work today my wife started trying to connect the Pinnacle 510 to pinnacle software on her windows 11 laptop and when I came home I used my install disc of Pinnacle Studio Plus Version 11 on my windows 7 offline PC. I was able to adjust the audio in Pinnacle Studios. I did a small test capture on a regular VCR.

I then closed Pinnacle Studios and opened crossbar thing. Then I opened my 510’s audio I now can connect and adjust the audio. I have more options than just adjusting the video proc amp.

I opened Virtualdub 1.9 and did a small test capture. Everything works well now!:D
