Panasonic NV-HS950 ghosting all tapes, even menu?
2 Attachment(s)
NV-HS950 connected to GV-USB2 via S-Video.
Not sure if ghosting is the correct term. There's an outline slightly shifted to the right. It's most evident with text, such as subtitles. Also clearly visible in the VCR's configuration menu, so I don't think it's my tapes. Any idea what's causing this? Could it just be the VCR? Thanks. |
Halos are probably the more-used term, but generally it can be seen with oversharpening. You could probably change some settings, but the rest of the picture will then appear less sharp.

Thanks for the reply. I considered halos, but don't those normally appear around the entire object? These ghost images always appear to the right.
Attachment 19132 Very apparent on the "T" and "i". Attachment 19133 Easiest to spot on "4" and "3" here. This deck doesn't really offer much in terms of configuration. I've tried switching Edit Mode off and toggling 3D DNR - to me they don't really seem to affect the picture at all, in any scene. Maybe that's just my unit though? |
