Set-up for Behringer Xenyx 802 with EQs

Hello,

I did purchased this tool. I want to do test with a standard old audio tape...

I never use mixer table and I look like a kid when I am looking the deck...

First I did use the CD/Tape stereo INPUT/OUTPUT cables (with a headphone in the phones jack hoping to heard some difference when playing with buttons) but then I noticed that EQ high-mid-low have no effect on audio....

Now I have the impression that I must used the 3/4 level column to capture audio to my computer?

Meaning that I nead 1/4" TRS headphons connectors that will match my stereo RCA cables?

THanks for you light

Some mixer boards only use EQ on 1/4" stereo inputs. The RCA inputs can only use gain and fade.

1/4-to-RCA cables are readily available at many electronics stores, as well as many music/guitar stores.
For example, Amazon sells a cable for $6 total: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...SIN=B000TTHVYK

... although that RCA wire looks rather flimsy and unshielded. Therefore...

This $7 non-wired adapter may be better: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...SIN=B002JDVBYU
The only problem may be if it fits properly against the board.

I realize you may not be in USA, and may not buy from Amazon.com, but you get the idea. Amazon.ca, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.at, etc -- lots of Amazons have them for low cost, in addition to the aforementioned local/online electronics and music stores. Just look around, get an adapter, and you'll be fine.

It is better to buy the cable, like this:

But, at least, I suggest you to buy 2 x these (you will find the need to use them in other situations too, studying your mixer further):

(they are working better then Y-like items, you will have more possibilities to use it!)

Are you sure those are not mono plugs? (Looks like it to me.)

Surely there are mono, and it what is needed for him. Because he uses two RCA outputs from tape deck.

He should use them on 3/4 or 5/6 channel strip.

Yeah, I must be tired. Looking at the board (instead of going off memory like I was), you're right. :)

It's about that time of day for me -- time to step away from the computer.
