Looking for very good VHS player to convert tapes to DVD/AVI
Hi all,
I am about to start to convert my old VHS tapes to DVD (or maybe AVI, not sure yet). I read on this webpage that it is essential to use a very good VHS player with TBC. Several VHS players are suggested, like the JVC 9600+, JVC 7600+, etc. But what about D-VHS players? Would they make any difference in terms of picture quality? I have a chance of buying the JVC HM-DR10000. Does anyone know if this is a good machine? Thanks for your inputs... Dan |
the the JVC HM-DH40000U & HM-DH5U, the Marantz MV-8300 and Mitsubishi HS-HD2000U are good DVHS players
AVOID the JVC HM-DH30000U - it is crap i'm not familiar with the JVC HM-DR10000 |
The D-VHS and higher-end S-VHS players are essentially the same in most ways.
The 40000U is the most liked model, of all the ones available. Some of this may already be discussed at length on the VCR page: http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vide...ing-guide.html Also search the forum: http://www.digitalFAQ.com/forum/search.php -- I know there's a lot of discussion, going back several years. There's also this post about the 10000: http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vide...dr10000ek.html |
