Installed codecs don't show in Virtual Dub

Running w7 64 bit
Installed 32 bit Virtual Dub ... and been using it fine for past 3 years.

However all the codes I normally use are no longer showing, if I load a file and the select full processing ... I should see all my codecs (Huffy, Cedocia, Lagarith, HQX, X264vfw etc.)
All I see are:

I have removed VD and downloaded new version.
Removed the codecs .... downloaded new ones, and reinstalled ......... still the same.

Any help appreciated.

Welcome advice.

Removed the codecs
This is not only bad special inexcusably
that you should never do.

Reinstalling Huffyuv and Lagarith
HQX is ... install Canopus [Grass Valley] also Edius or the Procoder or the back or the free Canopus Codec Pack HQX.
install over the old version installed.
Since the Canopus DV Codex and the HQ is reinstalled.
Cedocida you no longer need today.

On W7 here VDub running 1.9.11 + 1.10.4 32 bit
with VDub 1.10.4 64-bit without problems on the same PC

If you can connect with "sfc / scannow" then Window needs to be reinstalled.
I always do before a change to the system a complete image of C: \
So can sleep well

Fixed it .... well so far looks like it.

Using the Nirsoft Installed Codec tool, I could simply disable & re-enable codecs without resorting to regedit.

There was a post on Doom9 I was pointed to for a similar issue and they found that vidc codecs were to blame.
I disabled all the vidc codecs and .... success all the expected codecs reappeared in VD.
(so they must have been installed correctly after all)

By a process of elimination found out that it was codec VIDC.RTV1 as soon as I disabled that .. all is fine (so far at least)

I have an MSI graphics card and this is an MSI afteburner codec, maybe it is faulty or it got installed it an update.
