Soundforge preset pack install issues
 

I had to completely reinstall OS, the Vegas, Soundforge ... etc.

Previously I had issues installing SoundForge preset pack .... assumed in the end (after Q's here) it was some issue with my PC.
Have now reinstalled OS, mobo drivers and all software .. so PC now 'fresh'

Open Preset Manager ...
Open preset file (after unzipping first)

The fx plugin show 5 sets of plugin ... the latter 4 will drag across OK ...
the first 2 (Sonic Foundry Forge Normalize and Forge Volume) if dragged individually, or if the whole Fx Plug-in folder if dragged to lower window have same error ... window pops up "Preset Manager has stopped working" this happens 100% every time.

So there are 13 presets not being installed.

Posting this to avoid other having Hrs of fun trying to install them .......

Maybe whoever created the presets will consider updating them to work with SoundForge 10 at some point.

- The legacy settings (v6) from Sonic Foundry don't install in new versions (v9+).
- The newer/current Sony settings don't install in pre-9 versions.

It's a single pack because we still have some v6 installs. Literally, that's the presets that we create and use here at The Digital FAQ.

Everything available in the Sonic Foundry settings is in the Sony settings. You can only install one. So you're not missing out of anything. All those are is Normalize and some other minor settings (volume, etc). The important EQ settings work in all versions.

We're always adding to these. I try and post them every few months, when major additions are made. (I don't bother within minor incremental filters.)

That should alleviate some of your concern. :)

Hi .. I just posted a separate Q ... on the fact that the ones that do load ... don't then show in drop down menu's ... am I missing a step ?
