Other choices for deinterlacing besides QTGMC?
Seeing as QTGMC has decided to utterly fail me on 2 machines dozens of times for no apparent reason, crash after crash in Hybrid, and any other app with QTGMC, what, in order, would be best choices to use, other than QTGMC?

Really?
Hybrid lets you choose Vapoursynth or Avisynth method. Did you try both? Vapoursynth is default, then Avisynth x64, then x86(32). The only real alternative is a better than Yadif, like a direct nnedi or tdeint+edi. And there are things you can do to Yadif to make it suck less. Don't give up on QTGMC just yet. Besides, the other methods will require manual scripting, and may as well try QTGMC manually at that point. I'm actually not sure what all Hybrid includes for QTGMC alternatives, off-hand, but know some exist. |
It worked before. When I first saw what it achieved my crabby eyeballs near popped out of my carapace.
Now, crash after crash when it gets to creating with mencoder. I'd go to Selur but his forum is so far over my head... |
selur doesn't bite. He's very helpful. Very kind and generous.
He'll want a crash log. Now if I could only convince him to do MPEG encoding in Hybrid. :hmm: |
