Avisynth select association
 

I would be grateful if anyone could please tell me if this screenshot is the correct setting on the Avisynth install. Choose Component>Select Association. Or should the "Add Avisynth Script to New Items menu" box be ticked?

Do whatever you prefer, not important. I normally use notepad to open avs files for editing. For playng you can also use WMP, and thus the proposed association. You can always change the settings later
