QTGMC deinterlace square artifacts?
2 Attachment(s)
In the file attached, in a still-frame image, the de-interlacing (which is placebo) has little square pixel artifacts while movement is a little high.
In Capture.PNG are my Hybrid de-interlace settings. Any help or suggestions on why this is caused? Thanks |
without an unprocessed sample of the source, my only advice is: do not use 'placebo'

Yeah, it seems like "Slower" works perfectly for Lagarith Lossless .avi files.

It's a 29.970fps source video according to the Hybrid screenshot, but the soldiers don't look American, so maybe the interlacing was "baked in" when the video was converted to NTSC.

The "slower" preset softens, so I always try "faster" first, then "medium". If medium still not enough, I'll try to "switch" ("-this -that") the script before giving up and using slower.
Baked-in from PAL/NTSC conversion is a good guess, I've seen that before. |
