How to get the best quality from downloaded VHS rips ?
I have read through the vhs to dvd sticky post, but since it is 5 years old, and technology has come a long way.
my question is I downloaded some video of an old tv show that was taken from vhs, I have done lots of research but everybody says to use a different software. In your opinion what would be the best software for me to use, to get the best quality from the vhs video files I have downloaded? Thanks, Jason. --airwolf_b

Once the video was converted to a digital format, any errors present were forever burned into the download digital copy. There's no way to remove the flaws. At best, you can do some filter work in programs like Avisynth, VirtualDub, Avidemux, Adobe Premiere Pro CS3/CS4/CS5, and vReveal. But even those programs have their limitations, depending on the error. Quite a few things can be fixed, while others cannot (or can only be mitigated, not removed).
If you still need help, simply post here in a reply. :)
