Scart/ S video leads
Hi,
The more I read the more I get confused. My JVC decks have Scart/ 4 pin S video outputs A lot of capture devices have 3 ports Y Port B-Y S video - Y R-Y S video - C My scart cable has 3 rca tails and I know I can attach the yellow connector to the Y port But as I’ve read the worst quality transfer. But as I’ve read -S video is the better way to go- So can I get a 4 pin S video cable that can connect as described above ? Sorry if I sound as thick as a badger Thanks Tom 🍀 |
Most capture devices have 4 sockets: Composite video (yellow) red and white for Audio, and an S-video socket.

The capture device doesn’t have a S video 4 pin connection it only has the 3 BNC type connectors I described ?
Thanks Tom |
Arrh, sorry, I'd lost track of your "capture device".
I recall @Latreche34 showing a pic of a cable that did what you want; he had a TBC that used BNCs. Hopefully he will be along to elaborate. |
Hi
Thanks for getting back~ hopefully they will give some direction to where it was purchased as one supplier told me it wasn’t possible Thanks Tom |
Google: "2-bnc to s-video adapter". :wink2:
