LiquidWeb vs. WiredTree VPS hosting? Other alternatives?

Hello,

I am with WiredTree and I'm with Liquidweb. I have VPS with both of them.

I don't understand, why you keep on saying Liquidweb is the best or that Liquidweb is better than WiredTree. Is it JUST because of virtuozzo and KVM ? You've been around the block longer than me, please enlighten me.

My Experience -

1) CPU core

Core I got with Liquidweb was better, but hey they are selling 2 GB Storm VPS at $90 (I bought it at $70 because of their recent discount) and comparing them to my SSD 2000 VPS at WiredTree, would be like comparing apples to oranges.

WiredTree - I only bought $55 SSD 2000 and should I decide to buy their SSD 4000 which they sell at $85 (lesser than liquidweb's 2 GB VPS) , I'll have better spec right there.

(comparing list prices with specs here as I feel liquidweb don't go on discount often)

2) Litespeed -

Liquidweb would not sell Litespeed license for VPS (you know those $12-$14 ones) but only sell you 1 core licenses. However, when I asked them if I could get my own VPS license this is the line they wrote back

"1. Yes, we should be able to assist you with installing litespeed on your server. If you purchase the license through us, we fully support litespeed. If you would like to purchase the license through another source, we will still be able to assist you but it will fall under our "best effort" support policy."

I wonder if the product changes by not buying the license from them because of which they aren't able to "fully support" it.

3) Support -

First ticket sent to WiredTree , ticket closed within 4 minutes. I must have sent 5 tickets since then in 30 days. All answered promptly AND proactively, related to the ticket (this is the key here) WITHIN 10 mins. I feel like I'm on a live chat with them , whenever I send tickets.

LiquidWeb - First ticket I send, they reply back with "I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Please give me some time to review your questions and I will update you shortly" in 30 mins (just to save their SLA). Their actual reply came after 1 hour of their 1st reply and 1.5 hours after I asked the question.

Please note, I'm not here to fight but to know why you feel so and would like to know your opinion. I "approached" Liquidweb only after reading your threads (to be very honest). The worst part of it all ? WiredTree doesn't even "advertise/brand" their support as Heroic Support or Fanatical support (yes, I'm with rackspace too but thats out of the scope for now)

Waiting for your reply.
