Mandrill SMTP global server settings?

Is there any "account global" setting I can use for the Mandrill SMTP settings, or do I have to do every app, account, etc. separately?

I'm not sure what you're referring to.

It usually works like this.
1. You setup a script on a domain (public or not), to send mail
2. The script has options, on of which is which server to send from. You pluging SMTP info here.
3. When using Mandrill (or other SMTP service), that's the details that gets plugged into the form/options.

There's zero server side. It's all domain side (hosting client side), per site.

I was thinking in terms of a "default mailer" on the server. I know there's an <account name>@serve identity for anything that sends via the server itself. I didn't know if in our configuration if there was a way to alter that at the domain level for the occasional message that might get sent directly from the server.

None of your scripts should send directly from the server. If you find one, patch it use SMTP. Most swapped to that around 2006 or so. Off hand, I don't know what would send with that as the from email.

Right now, the help desk in using its PHP mailer function identifies itself that way. No settings in that mode at all. I'm in the process of setting up Mandrill, and wanted to be sure I wasn't overlooking something.
