Yes that is a little bug I mentioned once.

The directory that you don't mentioned in your message is "prediction", isn't it ?
Create it yourself, manually, under the working directory you give to DVD-RB .

audioslave 08-09-2004 12:56 PM

@Dialhot
Yep, that was it! :) Thanks!
But now I get a new error: "Invalid file name" ?! (From CCE)

Dialhot 08-09-2004 01:04 PM

:!: :?:

Did uou give the path to ECLCCE, not to CCE itself ?

audioslave 08-09-2004 01:07 PM

Yes I set the path to eclCCE...

Dialhot 08-09-2004 02:06 PM

Can you find the file called "item.ecl" if it was already created by DVD-RB and post it here ?

audioslave 08-09-2004 04:47 PM

Sure, I will look for it. Hold on, please......

Couldn't find any file with that name, but I found "vts_01.ecl"...?
It looks like this:

Well, I reinstalled CCE and now RB-Opt says "Could not create CCE process" when I'm about to start the prediction... I'm beginning to get quite desperate :roll: . Surely I'm doing something wrong, but I don't know what :? .

SansGrip 08-09-2004 10:15 PM

Work is still in progress. I'll keep you posted :).

audioslave 08-10-2004 04:23 AM

@SansGrip
Thanks :wink: .

audioslave 08-10-2004 01:08 PM

... :?:
How's it going? I don't mean to stress you up SansGrip, I'm just excited about trying this interesting method of making KDVDs :wink: .

SansGrip 08-11-2004 06:01 PM

I've been kinda busy with other things (work etc.) recently, but I should be able to get back to RB-Opt soon...

SansGrip 08-26-2004 03:30 PM

Just a quick update... RB-Opt with OPV prediction is almost ready for release. I imagine robot1 will put it out in the next day or two. Things have changed a bit since the version I posted here, so you'll wanna read the doc file that comes with it.

It's pretty nifty, even including a variation on Incredible's ping-pong method as a "verification" step. I think you'll have fun playing with it :).

Zyphon 08-26-2004 03:45 PM

Hi SansGrip, this is great news :D im glad you used Inc's Ping-Pong method as well can't wait to see the new release. ;)

audioslave 08-26-2004 03:54 PM

@SansGrip
Yes, very good news! I can't wait either. :D

bigggt 08-26-2004 06:53 PM

Looking forward to the new version also

@ Sansgrip

I noticed on doom 9 you suggested someone to use the KVCD notch matrix on lower bitrates like 3500

I'm just curious what you use for higher bitrates

thanx

At higher bitrates I prefer the look of the CCE standard matrix over the Notch. At very high bitrates I think the MPEG standard matrix is probably the best. But the Notch is definitely the champion when it comes to low bitrate encodes...

I wonder where all this will lead to. Now we're talking about "low bitrate" and 3500kb/sec. :roll:
Imagine 2 years ago... :lol:
waiting for the new version! :wink:

:wink:

SansGrip, a long weeks i'm waiting your "news", we can't wait more!

:lol:

SansGrip 08-27-2004 11:53 AM

RB-Opt 0.13 beta is now out! Hopefully it'll be worth the wait ;).

Don't worry, we found things to do in the meantime :smileysex:
